The mayor of Riga, Vilnis Kirsis, and the head of the real estate development company Eagle Hills, entrepreneur from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ali Alabbar, signed a memorandum of cooperation, marking the beginning of a large-scale transformation of the capital's Andrejsala district.
The goal of the project: to create a dynamic space where residential, commercial and public areas are combined, complemented by open green areas and a promenade, which will become a favorite recreational destination for both locals and tourists.
In line with Riga's commitment to sustainable development, the Andrejsala project will include innovative mobility solutions such as pedestrian and cycling paths, as well as expanded public transport to ensure easy access and movement throughout the area. Particular attention will be paid to creating an inclusive and accessible space for all residents.
It is noted that the success of the Andrejsala project depends on close cooperation between the Riga Municipality and the Eagle Hills company. By combining their efforts, knowledge and experience, both parties strive to bring their shared vision to life and create a district that will become a role model in the urban environment.
This large-scale project will not only increase the attractiveness of Riga as a tourist destination, but will also have a significant impact on the city’s economy. Creating new jobs, attracting investment and revitalizing business activity will contribute to the growth of wealth and prosperity of the entire region.
