HISTORIC RESIDENCE, LIELUPE, JURMALA
Beachfront location. Heritage since 1928. A collector's rarity.

On the shores of the Baltic Sea, in the most prestigious part of Jūrmala, Lielupe, stands one of Latvia's most remarkable historic residences. Sheltered by century old pines and just steps from the sandy beach, the villa offers a level of privacy that is today almost impossible to find, even among the rarest properties on the European coast.

House area: 1,221 m². Land plot: 7,075 m². First line to the sea.

HISTORY AND HERITAGE
The classicist style residence was built in 1928 to a design by the renowned architect Eižens Laube, as the summer house of Jānis Davis (1867–1959).

During the first Latvian Republic, Jānis Davis was a well known entrepreneur, educator, and author of several textbooks. He was also a generous patron of the arts and education.

In the 1920s and 30s, the Riga coast saw large scale construction of villas and mansions belonging to the Latvian intelligentsia. From 1926 onward, development of the wooded park zone in Lielupe, along lines 21 to 25, followed the General Development Plan of the Jūrmala colony.

The architecture of Lielupe remains, to this day, one of the most distinctive and vivid expressions of the Riga coast's residential heritage, where Neo Gothic, Classicism, National Romanticism, Art Nouveau, and Functionalism sit side by side, shaping the district's unmistakable character.

Properties like this one appear on the market extremely rarely, and their collector's value only grows with time.

LIFE BEHIND THE MAJESTIC FAÇADE
Grand reception rooms filled with natural light
8 luxurious bedrooms, each with its own character: some preserve the historic soul of the house through ornate mouldings, antique furniture, and herringbone parquet, while others are styled in a contemporary spirit, with floor to ceiling glazing and pine forest views from the bed itself
Private offices and meeting rooms
Home cinema and billiard room
A fully equipped modern gym
Swimming pool and spa complex with steam room
Wine cellar for a collection worthy of the house

ATMOSPHERE AND SURROUNDINGS
Every room is imbued with elegance and quiet calm. The windows open onto picturesque views of the pine forest and beautifully landscaped grounds, where silence, fresh sea air, and a true sense of seclusion prevail.

This is not simply a house by the sea. It is a family residence capable of becoming a legacy across generations, a place where history meets luxury, and where an exceptional beachfront setting makes this property truly unique, not only for Jūrmala, but for the entire Baltic region.
